I really like working with people. I know that sounds cliche, but I really like that. And I also like working with my hands. And especially that has a lot ... there's a lot to do here with that. Every filling is a challenge. Every crown is a challenge, and it's fun. And 35 years later, I still love it. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, and I went to Northrup High School. And after that I spent four years at Indiana University, then four years at Indiana University dental school. And I've been in practice in the northeast side of Fort Wayne for about 35 years now. I really enjoy continuing education. I have about 1,500 over my lifetime. And it makes it easier in the new age, I can actually go back in between patients and watch something on the internet. It makes it very interesting. And it allows you to keep up. There's so many things changing as far as materials, procedures, and it makes it really nice to keep up on those things so that you can always give the patients what the best stuff out there is.
Dr. Guy Fortier was born and raised right here in Fort Wayne. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 1979 and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1983, so he’s Hoosier through and through! He is also a graduate of the Kois Center, a renowned institute for continuing education in the dental field.
Dr. Guy (as our patients call him) loves working with his hands and getting to know each of our patients. The most rewarding part of his job is helping patients improve their overall health. He feels we have so many satisfied patients because our office uses the latest technology to ensure comfortable experiences and because we don’t oversell our dental services.
In his spare time, Dr. Guy enjoys woodworking and reading.
